Workshops
CAAG will hold three workshops on the Projections Study for our member agencies, as follows. Specific dates and locations will be announced beforehand.
November, 2008
Final 3-County Region Projections. The purpose of this workshop is to describe the final projection scenarios to CAAG member agencies.
January, 2009
Market Area Data Inputs for Member Review. The purpose of this workshop is to display all the data inputs for each market area in Pinal County. The workshop will also present patterns across the 3-County Region. This workshop provides CAAG member agencies the opportunity to review and comment on data inputs prior to the preparation of draft projections.
March, 2009
Draft Pinal County Market Area Projections for Member Review. The purpose of this workshop is to present draft projection scenarios for each market area in Pinal County. These drafts will be reviewed by member agencies, which will have the opportunity to comment. Based on their comments, final projection scenarios for each market area will be prepared and then summed to the Pinal County control projections per scenario.
CAAG Review & Adoption Process
The projections that result from this study will be taken through the CAAG committee structure, and adopted as the official CAAG projections. The market area projections will be reviewed by member agencies and modified if solid information warrants based on local reviews. At that point, the CAAG Population Technical Advisory Committee will be asked to recommend approval by CAAG's Management Committee. Management Committee will be asked to recommend approval by Regional Council. When approved by Regional Council, the most likely projection scenario will be the official CAAG projection for both Pinal County and each of the market areas.
